Apprenticeship forbidden

There are words,
That can be only
Ugly, plain, or sweet.
“Forever” is not one of them.
I think of it,
When your eyes catch the sun,
Or when the wind
Plays gleefully with leaves.
I see it, on your skin,
Sitting at the feet of the bed.
I feel it,
Running through fields of wheat,
With the blue sky dancing,
Above an infinite time.
There are words,
That can be both, ugly and sweet.
“Forever” is not…
One of them.

Commemorance

I remember ,
When my body was a smooth path
For any drop of water to cling to.
It had a clear, warm road to follow,
From my temple, to my feet…
If I stretched just right.

I remember,
A particular rain, in which
All drops met a hundreds rivulets,
Stretching on forever.
From my arms, to your lips…
If I smiled just right.
